2015 was a year of spectacular fashion too, with New York, Milan, London, and Paris blazing a trail on the catwalk. But some of the divas took a dive.
Vauthier started his own label six years ago and quickly made the leap from the catwalk to red carpets at the Grammys and the Oscars to enter the ranks of the fashion elite.
Meanwhile, Elie Saab captured the imagination of A-listers with his Spring-Summer 2015 Couture collection shown in Paris.
An Oscar season favorite, the Lebanese designer transformed the Chaillot Theatre into an olive-tree garden. In this dream-like atmosphere that brought to life Beirut’s glorious days, the red-carpet-ready shimmering gowns served as an ode to his hometown.
But at some shows this year, there were spills along with the thrills, thanks to impossible shoes or slippery catwalks.
Givenchy’s star-studded show in Manhattan in September saw a more high profile tumble, as supermodel Candice Swanepoel took a dive and was helped back up by front-row members.
